The Relationship Between Creation and Redeemer

John's gospel is presenting salvation from the perspective of creation. There's a same that you often see throughout the Old Testament of an intimate inextricably bound relationship between creation and redemption. Christ has come as the one who brings about a new creation in himself because it's ultimately not just something he does but it's who he is that's our salvation.
