Ruse's views about raising infants for that time were startling. He particularly wished er women to breast feed their own children. And he has some herendos pictures, i mean word pictures, of little babies in swaddling clothes which have hung from hooks in the ceiling in villages. These little children are just a sort of stifle in and possibly dying.
