Introduction
Oren caste was an economic adviser to the romney campaign and now runs an institute called american compass, which says that its mission is to restore an economic orthodoxy. Oren: The point of economic activity is to maximise consumption. And on the foot side, work is actually a bad thing, right? All things equal, we assume people want to consume as much as possible while working as little as possible. My basic critique of that is that's just not correct. You know, i don't want everybody living out in the woods in a cabin. But that what we're really ing for is an economy that actually creates an opportunity for everybody to be a productive contributor.
