The Restoration of the British Empire
There is an effort to not completely abolish or reverse a lot of the change s that happened in the interregnum, but to kind of redirect them into manageable official channels. The restoration regime wants to grow this empire, but keep it within more controlled channels. They don't really want knights on horseback any more. Rather, they just want money. Any this restoration government which was in large part run by middle class professionals and functionaries.
