Queer for Fear is a documentary series looking at the history of LGBTQ plus issues in horror. The first episode looks at the birth of Gothic fiction and argues that writers who either were or were in the world of or were aware ofLGBTQ+. It goes from there on to Bramis Locustra, Dracula, James Wales career,. Oscar Wilde's Portrait of Doreen Grey which it discusses in terms of hidden identities. And then onto archetypes like werewolves and aliens as being essentially stand-ins for queer characters. Then onto lesbian vampires and deadly women and that sort of stuff. They very quickly win you over to the series Central Thesis, which is all of horror is about
