The Power of Visual Culture

I see part of my responsibility is challenging the canon, right? I really want to try to comprehend what it is that we have consciously and unwittingly left out of the canon. And then we have to find ways to bring what we think of as marginalized conversations into the centre where we all have more to gain from them. So if there's one thing that's clear it's that visuality is central to meaning making. We understand our world our place in it in relationship to the visual they can't be extracted from epistemologies whether they're canonical or evolving.
