How to Write a Character Flip
The key on this in characters, if you want to have a character change dramatically in direction, think about the clues you put in that character to begin with and then exploit those flaws or accentuate those strengths. Don't ever write according to a checklist people. That's the main key. You can do any sort of flip you want, but you got to build those keys in there. And so if we were to follow this advice, it would just destroy the story because we would take him from all these good things and make him an interesting character. And we'd throw him away, basically.
