How to Apply Scientific Skepticism to the Results of Surveys
If a survey result doesn't come from some trusted organization, my skepticism begins with the panel provider. Broadly speaking, it's disingenuous responses that can come in many forms. A common and easy one to detect is what's called a speeder. All you do is look at the time it took that person to take the survey, compare it to the distribution of everyone who took it.
