Advanced Nuclear Is a Time to Be a First Principles Approach to Something That Has Worked in the Past
Many of the most legitimate advanced nuclear companies change few things from today's existing reactors. There are even cases where at least one advanced nuclear company is making no modifications to a reactor. They're simply arguing that the internal fuel, the fuel for the core should be altered to increase performance. So we have everything from the opposite of blank slate to truly blank slate and restarting everything different fuel, different coolant, different fuel material, different moderator, everything,. All the way to every single one of those, the same except for one little substitute narrowly without requiring a redesign of even existing reactors.
