Compassion Is Easier Than Mindfulness
Compassion taps into the mamillion care system, the system that's built in. When we feel close to others our paro sympathetic nervous system gets activated. We know what to say, we know how to hold our bodies and use our voice. So these are skills that we already have in sight of us. What we really need is to be able to speak to ourselves like we speak to a good friend. It's more about giving ourselves permission to do it, and remembering to do it.
