Do You Need an Echo Cardiogram?
The stress test really helps us manage patients interoperatively in ways that maybe internists haven't thought through. Maybe this patient is planning on having surgery at a place without any cardiologist in house. And maybe that should be moved to a place where someone can deal with it if they do have a postoperative cardiac event. That's probably one of the biggest workflows that I do on like a weekly basis, just getting more information about their situation.
