Pork Industry - What Are They Saying About Proposition 12?
Proposition 12 required a minimum amount of space for animals in factory farms. The pork industry is claiming that the law is unconstitutional, but so far their challenges have been unsuccessful. A consulting firm hired by opponents estimate that consumers could pay up to 60 % more for a pack of bacon. But we'll have to see whether or not consumers actually end up paying more for their bacon.
