The Reality of the Kinsman Redeemer
Gideon was the one who contended against the Baal's, right against the false gods. But it turned out to be someone who was setting up his family to turn back to the Baal's. They're distracted by it instead of turning their hearts to the Lord. And that is so often what we can do. We can take our version of God, whatever version of God we like,. and we can twist the true and living God into idolatry.
