LZ Granderson: I actually regret quitting academics in the first place. Part of what made me not go back to academics earlier was because I thought that all the people that I had studied with would be mad at me, including my amazing advisor. And we reconnected 10 years ago, and she was so the opposite of mad at me. LZ: It's like whatever you think that other people are thinking about you, it's probably not what they're actually thinking.
