The Politics of Doomerism

The most worrying part is that there does seem to be a fairly large political coalition of people who are more worried about what other people will do with this technology then who want to use it themselves. It's always like if you can't control other people then you're going to try to control the people and I just happens to be the latest battlefield where that plays out.
