The Violence in South Africa in the Eighties
Violence was driven by the reactionarys ite nationalist project and backed by the partet states, as well as far africone right. There was a big worry that sections of the military and the police would sabotage the peace negotiations. Despite all this, we end up having a peaceful election and transfer of power. The anc promotes policies which create a a black middle class - but safrica's economy is not growing properly.
