Surgasy, a Black Dancer's Paradise
Latasha came up with a phrase that she hoped would create a role for non black dancers like felix and katy. Surgasy was a way to talk about lindyhop as a living tradition, instead of culum of steps that were frozen in time. Instead of being a cultural appropriator, you can be a cultural surget unte. A part of you has affected this thing as much as it has affected you. You never get to leave it.
