It's not really state-funded it's actually funded through a federal program called Medicare then you have the specialist who you see as outpatients in their rooms. The second way of getting private health insurance for hospital cover or extra cover for allied health treatment such as dental, optometry, physio etc etc so depends on depends on what you want.
