It feels like this chunk of the movie essentially through to the first hour is doing like an expediated riff on the Lion King. Mumble has been in love with Gloria his whole life loves very suddenly his whole life and there's like this whole horny sequence where all the other males are singing to Gloria. So he's like well I don't have a chance with her. And then they like banish him because he's singing to shitty.
