Many of the Greek gods, ones I'm more familiar with, have a dual face. Zeus is sometimes painted as sweet as honey and sometimes he hurls lightning bolts for no reason. The god that really embodies this, the Roman god Janus, right, who literally has sort of two faces. And so if you're a drug, the pagan sacred is literally just power and it's not contradictory.
