Bitcoin's Energy Consumption
Bitcoin's energy consumption is 12 times smaller than that of always-on electrical devices in US households. The Bitcoin network can do a maximum of a few hundred thousand base layer transactions per day. Whether blocks are full or not, they're using roughly the same amount of energy.
