Don't Get So Distracted by the Promise and Threats of AI

Meredith Whitaker, Naverena Singh and Alex Hannah spoke at a TechCrunch event on AI ethics. Their message was that the technology underpinning chatbots like Chat is dangerous as power grows more concentrated by those at the top of the advanced AI pyramid. They also pointed to many people around the world who are helping to train today's large language models in part because their work is unglamorous.
