The Eucharist is a way of returning to the beginning, going back to what made us Christians in the first place. It's not that Christ came into the world and walked around and talked to people; it said he died for us. The death of Christ is really the founding event of a Christian. And anybody who rejected the death of Christ who thought that Christ didn't really die ... I don't think that person is a Christian in any healthy way at least.
