The project or the group, the organization responsible for administering the mass observation. They send out what they call a directive every three months where they ask you certain questions about things that are going on in the world and just ask you to write how you feel about it. And they just keep it in the archives for people to use for various bits of research. So essentially it's a project to create a popular history from the lives of ordinary people so that in the future it'll be easy to access information about what life was really like for normal people. This has been going on since the 1930s. I've done four directives.
