Religious Studies - Is There a Cultural Bias?

Zayinger: People get an experience that is in some way conditioned and sanctioned by their culture. He was one of these proponents of really looking at what is the cultural context. But as you say, this was before what we now have religious studies as an academic discipline. And largely comparative religious studies were done by christian theologians coming out of that background.
