As things become routine, there's a disjunction between idea and movement. The only mode of production absolutely free would be that in which methodological thought was in operation throughout the course of work. This is getting us into the social and Marxian element of all this with concern about what it is to do rewarding work and non-alienated work versus what it is for workers on an assembly line.
