Clarence thomas went to college at a white institution in the north. His friends teased him about his fervor of his commitment and seriousness. In later years, thomas would down play the presence of black nationalist in his mature thinking. But even as he looked back on his youthful development, looking back on his childhood days, there are some points where i'm sure my attitudes approached black nationalism more than once.
