The real purpose of analysis is synthesis. You untie in order to unite. A lot of modern education is based on analysis, and it doesn't hold together. We have ended up in a fragmented universe where now we think there is no hole. Everything's just random and disconnected and fragmented. And human beings walk around feeling fragmented, alienated and isolated, yet because we have lost our connection to the whole. It is telling that the earlier term for psychoanalysts was alienists.
