The US Dollar and the BRICS Group

A number of countries are negotiating or at least talking about publicly joining the BRICS group. If you're not going to use the US dollar, what is your alternative on a personal level? Any alternative that you think could replace the US dollar in the long term is an alternative that you should be using today.
