The Importance of Laughter
The world's leading expert on laughter was a wonderful guy called Robert Proven. He wanted to know, like yawning, why do sometimes when we yawn, why do other people catch the yawn from us? And he gathered a group of college students in a room and he started showing them some comedy videos. And he realized that strangers plus comedy does not equal laughter. We don't laugh with strangers. Sometimes we laugh to signal that we are together. It isn't always humor related. A lot of times that we laugh in office environments.
