Reformed and conservative evangelicals did not have a great deal of zeal or even taste for the medieval period. The Young Restless Reformed project is that as led by Mark Devere and others early on, it was very explicitly non-ecumenical and non-Catholic. And so in your 20th century, neo-evangelical contexts leading into the modern Reformed movement of the last 30, 40, 50 years, if you think about these different streams together, medievalism was not big. But now we're bringing them in and they're actually way better than a lot of these complimentary and obsessed theologians who are biblicists and exegetically driven to a fault
