Is There a Balance Between Development and the Environment?
The models of the scenarios represented in the IPCC database, they rely on what we call a least cost solution. Different scenarios available in literature show what are the implications for different countries depending upon which burden sharing scheme you are using. The major conclusion on that is that all these are the burden sharing schemes lead to higher global costs. But again, many studies have shown that we have enough space in the world for agriculture, for food, and also for preserving our forests.
