The Big Good Man, It Doesn't Matter if You're the Best or the Worst
The Buddha actually has more sympathy for the worse horse than the best, says Zen master. If you think you're a good father, you're probably a shit father because you're not looking for ways to improve your son or daughter-in-law. The next best are those who react before they even see the shadow of the whip and do it at the driver's will. They'll run slow or fast or unright and left.
