In 2011, the Tavistock started a study to look at what impact blocking puberty earlier would have on young people. But instead of waiting for the results of that data to come out, they didn't wait and rolled out early interventions. The head of mermaids requested on a number of occasions for a young person to have their clinicians changed because presumably they weren't being referred to or physical interventions.
