Is an Elder Also a Pastor?
The only passage where we have the noun pastor used to apply to a Christian leader doesn't explicitly say these are also the same thing as elders or overseers. Acts 20 verse 17, it says that Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church and then a few verses later in verse 28, he tells the elders that he's talking to to keep watch over yourselves and all the flock which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. That's a verb. And this verse Ephesians four, 11 doesn't say these pastors, teachers, and there's something with the Grammy here where pastor teacher could be correlated. So it's kind of one office, not two different ones
