Are There Other Examples of Women in Crusades That Weren't Necessarily in the Holy Land?
We don't actually know that it is by Eleanor and scholars have argued about this for years. It's almost a shame that we don't quite know whether that letter was really sent or not because if you read it it's a fantastic letter. In my head I'm just going to say it was by Eleanor. When we talk about crusading we sometimes are in danger of focusing on the Holy Land around Jerusalem but you've touched on a little bit thereThe Teutonic Crusades in the Baltics and a little bit about the Hussite crusade in what is now the Czech Republic. Are there other examples of women who were involved in crusades that weren't necessarily in the Holy Land?
