The issue with the rotator cuff is for a significant proportion of people it's not self resolving and it's not short lasting. By six weeks we can expect that 70 percent of people who had a new episode of shoulder pain won't have resolved by 12 months 40 percent of people will have ongoing shoulder problems. We need to reconceptualize how we think about this problem, he says.
