Senior Military Leaders - Is That Really the Job of a Senior Military Commander?
Senior leaders have had to go forward to issue instructions, which a junior leader would have sorted out on their own initiative. And then, i think, allied to that, there has been a breakdown in the russian communication system. So thay, they have military radios that would normally be encrypted, and those networks haven't worked very well. They've fallen back on open networks and mobile phones. That means tha movement and the location of senior people is much easier for the ukranians to identify and then do something about it.
