Delos's Anthology, Is It a Substance?

I think the answer though is in like Delos's, we can call it like kind of an anthology, right? Like, where he's going to take Hume and have pre-modern solutions to modern problems. It's that we have these instincts, but a unified subject does not start to manifest until the institution starts to contextualize them very in a very particular way. In terms of thinking of apparatuses as things that work on people to make them into subjects, he keeps describing sort of the pre apparatus life as a substance. I'm used to thinking about some substance in the kind of spinosis sense, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on that.
