Kimberly Canyou talks about the importance of listening in one-on-one meetings. She says she was exhausted by all the bright ideas that were coming her way as a manager. So when someone would come to her with a problem, i'd say where's your recommendation and what are the other solutions? And finally someone came to me and said, kim, when do we get to come and just talk to you? Ad i realized that i had become too formulaic - which is easy to happen when you're a manager. It felt for more engagement, and i was able to understand better.
