The Christian Zionists Helped the Jewish People Move to the Holy Land
The Christian evangelicals helped the Jewish people move to the Holy Land even before there was an idea to create a state of Israel. Colonel George Goerler in the 1800s worked together with Moses Montefur to create agricultural settlements in the Holy Land. Another influential Christian Zionist activist was the British Major Charles Henry Churchill. Tully Hertz Imber who wrote the lyrics to Hatikva, Israel's national anthem, seems to have been inspired by the man to whom he was travel secretary, Lawrence Olafent.
