The Cue Ride - Is This Really Animated?

The ride was very acute because it was animatronics, which i feel like universal doesn't really do a lot of animatronics. My only gripe about this ride is, being someone whos plus size, this attraction was not very accommodating and i almost didn't fit on it. It's a slow moving, dark ride. Youre like stationary, basically. Why couldn't this have been made like the, like, the seats that disney uses,. where you just sit in it and you pull a lap dart lap bar down?
