Greek Colonies and Networks in the Iron Age: Interview with Dr. Lieve Donnellan

Tides of History

CHAPTER

Introduction

The Iron Age Mediterranean was full of people moving around. The Greeks tend to occupy a privileged place in that story, but our understanding of their role and how they interacted with the people they met has changed dramatically. Dr. Leiva Donilon works right on the cutting edge of our new understanding of both the Greeks and the Mediterranean. She is lecturer in Classical Greek archaeology at the University of Melbourne; directs the Plain of Gioia Survey Project in Calabria.
