How Exposure Therapy Helps People Go From Extreme Perfectionism to a Bit More Discerning
Exposure therapy was originally developed for the treatment of phobic and fear-based conditions. The idea is that if you deliberately and repeatedly get in touch with the fearful thing, you can learn that it's survivable or tolerable. And then your brain slowly learns to be like, actually, this thing doesn't literally kill us.
