I remember I always used to want to like, kind of hide behind what I considered at the time, clever word play. But on reflection, it wasn't just that I thought that that was cool, because I didn't really. And in a way, making it third grade, especially if it's a sincere emotion, that's really putting your shit on the line. It is. Then you have to kind of distill it and like kind of like turn it almost into like, your postcard,. You know what I mean? Like it turns, you know, define it in the simplest terms. That is the art of songwriting to an extent.
