Kubernetes is built primarily in go, a great language for a number of things but as complexity of an application grows it gets very difficult to man. The team at day has kept growing at microsoft and producing more and more of these open source tools. We started with helm then produced draft and brigade and cnab and oam and all you know just kind of this litany of open source tools that were all really part of the kubernetes ecosystem. i think we're up to about two million downloads a month or something on helm which was really what got me sucked out of the sort of bear container world and into this orchestration layer not too long after
