The Importance of Family History in Acute Liver Injury

The family history is important here, right? Because as we're starting to kind of wade into this territory of her potentially having cirrhosis at a young age. There are certain types of cirrhosis that you would expect to potentially have a hereditary component. The one that comes to mind predominantly is her auditory hemochromocytosis, iron overload syndromes. Those tend to present later and be less common in women than men.
