The song is actually about a fictitious overdose. The blinding lights are the lights of an ambulance. By the end of the album, after hours, were left thinking that the character the week end has passed on. It's almost like abel tesvey has chosen to kill off thecharacter the week end. I hear the album is split into sort of two parts, a kind of rebirth moment and this weird, psychodalic escape into a nestalgic f m radio landk. We begin in this sort of pastoral place with weird electron bird sounds, and melatron wins. And lyrically, were kind of in this in between, sort of a paradoxical lyric, ecause
