The Winchester House Versus Yanada Villa
Sarah Winchester bought the house in 1886 and renovated it until her death in 1922. The construction continued through decades until Sarah passed away September 5th, 1922 due to heart failure. As it stands, this mansion has 10,000 windows, 2,000 doors, 160 rooms from the original 8, 52 skylights, and then oddly enough, 47 fireplaces and 47 stairways,. 13 bathrooms and six kitchens.
