The Difference Between Publishing on Your Own Website and Publishing on Someone's Website
There's a nice feeling to doing it on your own site. There is absolutely something about having a place of your own on the web that you publish. I wish more people do it. You know, when Tim Berners-Lee created the web himself and his colleague Robert Caillou, they have a publicity campaign within CERN to convince people to use it. It was literally like a PR push for the web - let we share what we know,. which I think is perfect for a scientific institution.
